Make 2x2 ID Photos in Microsoft Word.
Creating a 2x2 ID photo in Microsoft Word is straightforward! Follow these steps for a perfect result:
Step 1: Insert Your Photo
Open Microsoft Word and navigate to the Insert tab on the ribbon.
Click on Pictures and select the photo you want to use from your device.
Step 2: Remove the Background
With your photo selected, go to the Picture Format tab.
Click on Remove Background. Word will attempt to highlight the background to be removed.
Adjust the areas to keep or remove using the Mark Areas to Keep and Mark Areas to Remove tools. This may require some fine-tuning to get it just right.
Step 3: Finalize Background Removal
Once satisfied with the background removal, click Keep Changes.
If needed, consider using a more advanced tool like Photoshop for better results.
Step 4: Adjust Image Position
Select the image again, and go to the Wrap Text option in the Picture Format tab.
Choose In Front of Text to move your image freely around the page.
Step 5: Crop to 2x2 Size
With the image selected, click on Crop in the Picture Format tab.
Select the Aspect Ratio dropdown and choose 1:1.
To set the size to 2x2 inches, adjust the dimensions in the cropping options to 5 cm x 5 cm (2 inches = 5 cm).
Step 6: Position Your Image
Move your image within the 2x2 square, ensuring there's enough headspace at the top.
Once positioned correctly, click outside the image to finalize the placement.
Step 7: Print Multiple Copies
If you need several copies of your ID photo, simply copy and paste the image multiple times on the page.
Print your document to get your 2x2 ID photos ready!
