Step 1: Open Google Drive
Navigate to Google Drive.
Log in with your Google account if you haven't already.
Step 2: Locate the File or Folder
Find the file or folder you want to share.
Right-click on the item to open the context menu.
Step 3: Select "Get Link"
Click on "Get link" from the menu.
A sharing dialog box will appear.
Step 4: Change Link Sharing Settings
Under "Get Link," you'll see the current sharing status.
Click on the dropdown menu that says "Restricted" or similar.
Select "Anyone with the link" to make it accessible to anyone who has the link.
Step 5: Set Permissions
Choose the appropriate permission level:
Viewer: Can only view the file.
Commenter: Can view and comment.
Editor: Can make changes.
For most sharing purposes, Viewer is sufficient.
Step 6: Copy the Link
Click "Copy link".
The link is now copied to your clipboard.
Step 7: Share the Link
Paste the link into your email, chat, or document.
