How to Make X (Twitter) Polls.

Are you ready to boost your productivity with X (Twitter) polls? I've got you covered with a super easy, step-by-step guide to get those polls up and running in no time, whether you're on your desktop or mobile device!

How to Create Engaging X (Twitter) Polls: A Step-by-Step Guide

Creating polls on X (formerly Twitter) is a fantastic way to interact with your audience, gather opinions, and boost engagement. It's surprisingly straightforward, and I'll walk you through it for both desktop and mobile.

On Desktop

  1. Start a New Post: First things first, head over to X on your desktop. You'll see the option to create a new post right at the top of your main feed.

  2. Find the Poll Icon: Look for a series of icons just below the text input area for your post. You'll want to click on the poll icon, which usually looks like a bar chart 2.

  3. Ask Your Question: Once you click the poll icon, a poll creation box will appear. This is where you type out your poll question, like "What do you think?".

  4. Add Your Options: Below your question, you'll see fields for poll options. You can add options like "Bad," "It's okay," or "Good." To add more options, just hit the plus icon.

  5. Set the Poll Duration: You can customize how long your poll will run. By default, it might be set for a single day, but you can adjust it up to a maximum of 7 days, including specific hours and minutes.

  6. Post Your Poll: Once you're happy with your question, options, and duration, simply hit the Post button! Your poll is now live.

On Mobile

  1. Open the X App: Launch the X application on your mobile device.

  2. Tap the Blue Plus Button: In the bottom right-hand corner, you'll spot a big blue plus button. Give that a tap 4. This is where you can start setting up your posts and polls.

  3. Select the Poll Icon: At the bottom of the screen, you'll find the poll icon (it's usually the last one). Tap it to open the poll creation interface.

  4. Enter Your Question: Type your question, for example, "Is this any good?".

  5. Add Poll Options: Input your answer choices, like "Bad," "It's okay," and "Good." Use the little plus icon to add more options if needed.

  6. Choose Poll Length: You can select the duration for your poll. Remember, polls can run for up to 7 days (6 days, 23 hours, and 59 minutes to be precise).

  7. Post Your Poll: When everything looks good, hit the Post button. And just like that, your mobile poll is ready for votes!

Happy polling!
