Updating your name on LinkedIn is essential for maintaining a professional online presence and it is a straightforward process, whether you're using a desktop or mobile device. Follow this detailed guide to ensure your profile reflects your preferred name.
For Desktop Users
Log into LinkedIn: Open your LinkedIn profile in your web browser.
Navigate to Settings:
Click on the Me icon in the top right corner.
Select Settings & Privacy from the dropdown menu.
Access Name Settings:
Under Profile Information, click on Name, location, and industry. This section allows you to edit your first name, last name, and any additional names you want to display.
Make Your Changes:
Enter your new name in the appropriate fields. You can also add a brief description about yourself if desired.
Save Changes:
Once you're satisfied with the changes, click Save to update your profile.
Optional - Update Your Public Profile URL:
